Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier and Customer Service Representative to join our team at Food Lion. As a key member of our front-end team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, easy, and friendly service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash control
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, including unloading groceries and retrieving shopping carts
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front-end area and MVP savings center
  • Report any register malfunctions or cleaning issues to the Customer Service Manager or MOD
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
Working Conditions

This role requires standing 100% of the time, frequent walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also be required to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
