Senior Nuclear Engineer - Procurement & Testing Job Opportunity

We are partnering with a prominent organization in the energy sector to find a talented Senior Nuclear Engineer - Procurement & Testing. This contract role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional adept in procurement engineering, testing, and quality assurance.

About the Role:

This senior nuclear engineer position focuses on developing robust procurement engineering packages to ensure the reliability and performance of critical materials and components in nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop special testing, inspection, and acceptance criteria for parts and materials.
  • Create procurement engineering packages with clear technical and quality requirements.
  • Select critical characteristics for testing to ensure functional performance.
  • Maintain design and licensing basis using the latest engineering information.
  • Establish procurement methodology and support mechanical engineering with testing.
  • Assist in designing and implementing test plans, and collaborating across teams.
  • Document test procedures, specifications, and analysis reports in compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to the corrective action program and propose process improvements based on test results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required), Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of engineering experience or one (1) year as Engineer I.
  • Proficiency in automated purchasing and materials management systems.
  • Experience with EPRI Nuclear Utility Procurement Training (preferred).
  • Direct experience in mechanical disciplines preferred; cross-discipline experience a plus.
  • Strong engineering judgment, procurement evaluation management skills.
Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
