Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Defense Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for legal research, case management, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support defense litigation cases.
  • Manage multiple cases from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, affidavits, and legal memos.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
  • Coordinate and manage document production and discovery process.
  • Maintain and update case management system and client files.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for clients and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Liaise with opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that affect the firm's defense litigation practice.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research tools and techniques.
  • Proficient in case management systems and other legal software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client relations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus.
