About the Role

The City Engineer will be responsible for managing the Engineering Division, overseeing the development and implementation of engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with city policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Engineering Division, including planning, design, construction, and project management.
  • Develop and implement engineering projects, including transportation, infrastructure, and urban planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with city policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with other city departments and external agencies to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to city staff and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Five years of professional civil engineering experience, including two years of managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer by the California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • Valid California Class C Driver License.
