  • Manage Public Works Department operations, determining goals, objectives, and priorities, evaluating progress toward achieving City goals, and allocating resources to optimize budgeted funds.
  • Assure Departments' activities are in compliance with goals, laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Direct the development of special programs, grants, and projects to improve community services, compiling and evaluating activity reports, and preparing and presenting reports.
  • Manage assigned team members, developing goals and priorities, scheduling and assigning tasks and projects, monitoring work, and evaluating performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in public works programs, including supervisory experience.
  • Valid California Class C Driver License.
  • Certificate of registration as a professional engineer in the State of California.
