Job Overview

Position Summary:
As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing processes by executing a comprehensive range of multi-disciplinary equipment maintenance tasks, emphasizing reliability and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of machinery and equipment through diligent preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and various production machinery. You may also contribute significantly to process enhancement and troubleshooting teams.

General Requirements

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with standard shop tools such as drill presses, band saws, and portable power tools.
- Capability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to mentor and train fellow technicians.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Successful completion of certification assessments.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience is required; a 2-year Technical Degree is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

Key Tasks:
- Diagnose equipment failures using logical and systematic approaches.
- Install and align mechanical drive systems.
- Execute all assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including major service and overhauls.
- Replace identified defective components.
- Adjust machinery to meet operational specifications.
- Maintain lubrication requirements for machinery.
- Recommend modifications to processes based on observed equipment performance.
- Conduct testing of electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical wiring and components.
- Keep accurate maintenance records to establish historical data and future maintenance needs.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and operators on equipment servicing.

- Maintain a proactive learning attitude to stay updated with maintenance practices and equipment.
- Complete an annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and undertake necessary training based on assessment outcomes.

- Adhere to established safety protocols to prevent injuries and maintain safe working conditions.
