Job Overview

Chicago Youth Centers is seeking a Contracts Specialist to perform financial and administrative functions to develop, implement, and monitor the Early Learning, Child Care Assistance Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program, cost matching, and program expenditures.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree in Accounting or related field and 2-3 years of related experience, with minimum one year experience with CACFP and Action for Children Childcare Subsidy Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor systems designed to ensure accurate implementation of child care eligibility determinations and re-determinations at all centers and sites.
  • Complete child care billing for Action for Children and perform on-site monitoring of child care applications and related documentation.
  • Assist with development of Early Learning, CCAP and CACFP contracts and budgets.

This role offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $50,000 annually, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 403B, AFLAC, and pet insurance benefits. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and reconcile childcare revenue, fee for service revenue, and parent co-payments with enrollment and attendance.
  • Develop and monitor systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting in CACFP and other programs.
  • Responsible for providing training and technical assistance to agency staff on contract and program-related cost matching, record-keeping, and reporting requirements.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2-3 years related experience; minimum of one year experience with CACFP and Action for Children Childcare Subsidy Program.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
