The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a team environment. As a Senior Engineer, your primary focus will be on constructing backend systems, while also engaging in the integration of these services with game clients. Proficiency in managing large-scale applications and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend services using Go.
  • Integrate backend functionalities with game clients developed in C++.
  • Maintain and enhance live features and deployments.
  • Assess and prioritize a backlog of features, bugs, and technical improvements.
  • Quickly familiarize yourself with an existing extensive codebase.
  • Collaborate with designers to refine features and enhance player experience.

Qualifications:

The perfect candidate for Rushdown is someone who possesses a strong enthusiasm for gaming and is dedicated to our mission. We aim to cultivate a supportive and positive team environment that values attention to detail and the commitment necessary to create outstanding games.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing high-performance applications using Go.
  • At least 3 years of experience in backend development.
  • 1+ years of experience with C++ programming.
  • Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficient in setting up and deploying Docker containers.
  • Experience in developing and managing communication between microservices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Perforce.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with a requirement to be present in the office three days a week.

Compensation and Benefits:

Annual Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
