About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing staff in our medical and surgical units.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, and lifting patients.
  • Assist with routine nursing care, including taking vital signs, collecting and transporting specimens, and preparing patients for discharge or tests.
  • Document all care provided in the clinical record and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • At least two years' experience as a CNA within the last three years in a medical-surgical or critical care setting.
  • Ability to provide nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • US citizenship and COVID-19 vaccine certification.
