Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ring up sales on the cash register accurately and efficiently
  • Operate the fuel console, lottery machine, and other equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the parking lot, gas pumps, and store interior
  • Inspect store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order
  • Perform multi-function duties as needed, including receiving and verifying vendor deliveries, controlling merchandise and cash shortages, and assisting with inventory management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in retail sales or customer service preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Working Conditions

The Store Clerk will work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions. The position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions, including extreme cold temperatures, occasional noise, and exposure to cleaning chemicals.

The Store Clerk will be required to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds, and push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds. The position also requires the ability to bend at the waist with some twisting and grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands.

The Store Clerk will work as scheduled and arrive to work on time, with minimal supervision. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English and perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
