Loan Operations Specialist (Hybrid)
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
  • The Loan Operations Specialist undertakes intricate or non-standard administrative functions, applying considerable judgment and discretion to support a specific unit or team within Loan Operations.
  • Tasks are executed autonomously with minimal oversight; responsibilities may encompass research, processing incoming correspondence, customer service interactions, and liaising with external agencies; offering information and procedural insights to less experienced personnel.
  • Conducts investigations on questionable items and communicates findings to relevant resources to mitigate fraudulent activities.
  • Records entries in the general ledger associated with processed documentation and information.
  • Reviews and approves general ledger entries and/or invoices for precision and completeness.
  • Contributes to management in the formulation and upkeep of a budget.
  • Identifies, audits, investigates, and resolves departmental inconsistencies.
  • Evaluates work and imparts information and procedural knowledge to junior staff.
  • Provides primary leadership within a unit or team in Loan Operations, including input on performance management, coaching, and guidance for team members.
  • Addresses the most complex inquiries and issues from customers and internal units; researches information to deliver responses and solutions.
  • Engages with customers to clarify matters affecting their accounts.
  • The Loan Operations Specialist follows up with branches and other units to address discrepancies and customer concerns.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Loan Operations policies and procedures, along with related agency regulations.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the capability to prioritize tasks to achieve unit objectives.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with standard PC applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and administrative competencies are essential.

  • Proven ability to mentor others, clarify complex policies and procedures, and promote knowledge-sharing within the team.
