Nursing ICU Manager

St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager to lead our ICU team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, with a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory role. A Bachelor's Degree and Registered Nurse certification are required, with a Master's Degree and no experience also considered. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the ICU team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement effective communication channels to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Direct and participate in the orientation of new employees, evaluating program effectiveness and employee progress.
- Facilitate staff participation in shared governance structures and professional growth and development opportunities.
- Monitor and manage the fiscal budget, ensuring operational and capital expenditures are within established variance.
- Adjust staffing patterns according to unit activity and patient acuity, ensuring the delivery of competent clinical practice.
- Participate in unit, service, and divisional CQI/CQE programs, documenting results and formulating corrective action plans for improvement.
- Develop and manage the unit budget, controlling operational and capital expenditures for capital equipment priorities based on patient unit needs and according to budget policy.
- Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate nursing care based on social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's Degree and Registered Nurse certification
Starting in January 2016, any new hires should have:*Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience required; clinical leadership in the discipline preferredOR Master's Degree and no experience
