The Clinical Manager of Labor and Delivery is a key leadership role within AHMC Healthcare, responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the Labor and Delivery unit. This position requires a Registered Nurse with strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of patient care and hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities- Directly supervise personnel and ensure the quality of clinical nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Plan and maintain staffing patterns to meet patient needs and ensure continuity of care.
- Guide, direct, coach, and support staff regarding performance, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Ensure staff functions are within legal limitations and demonstrate knowledge of legal and ethical aspects surrounding patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Two to five years of clinical experience, including experience in patient care management.
- Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
- Basic understanding of management and leadership principles.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate interpersonal relationships in a manner that enhances communication.
- Current BLS, ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certifications.
