Job Description

As an Audiologist at Northwell Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the hearing health of our patients. Your expertise will be essential in conducting comprehensive audiological evaluations, fitting amplification devices, and providing rehabilitative services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer a range of audiological tests to assess hearing levels and identify potential damage to the auditory system.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on diagnostic findings, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with patient authorization.
  • Counsel patients and their families on test results and recommendations, collaborating with medical staff to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide didactic and practical training to residents, medical students, and hospital staff on audiological and vestibular topics.
  • Participate in research, conferences, and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in audiology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Audiology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current License to practice as an Audiologist in New York State and ASHA Certification.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in audiology.
