Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced E&C Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise to support the development of new and improved techniques and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects of moderate to large size and scope, applying technical standards, principles, and theories to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement new or improved techniques, procedures, and standards to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for project activities, including support, testing, installation, inspections, and commissioning.
  • Represent the organization as the prime technical contact in bid/evaluation processes, preparing bid documents and providing technical evaluations for proposals.
  • Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, requiring coordination with internal and external organizations.
  • Effectively resolve difficult technical/business matters, both inter-organizationally and with outside customer/vendors.
  • May assign tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, craft personnel, and other support staff, providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
Requirements
  • Targeting 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing/plant environment, preferably in a power plant setting.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, with a related discipline preferred (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.).
  • Prior experience with project management, project plan development, budgeting, and estimating is highly desirable.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Has taken the FE (Fundamentals in Engineering) exam or would like to.
