Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic to join our team at Alert Ambulance. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services in Rhode Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality ALS care and transportation to patients in need of our services.
  • Perform as a trained and caring professional representing Alert Ambulance.
  • Read and understand the company's Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Report on time and in uniform for assigned shifts, maintaining good mental and physical health.
  • Ensure assigned vehicles are stocked, serviced, and cleaned according to daily checklists.
  • Assure biomedical equipment is checked, operated, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Perform job tasks assigned by the Base Supervisor or other managerial personnel with a good attitude.
  • Maintain the base living quarters in clean and sanitary condition.
  • Greet inspection personnel professionally, courteously, and with enthusiasm.
  • Attend ALS continued training for skills review and Medical Rounds.
  • Inspect and sign off on controlled substances and drugs during shifts.
  • Maintain a monthly inventory of controlled substances in the narcotics logbook.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift and carry 125 pounds.
  • Maintain an active Driver's License.
  • Maintain all appropriate and mandated credentials as defined by OEMS regulations and Alert Ambulance.
  • Maintain appropriate State(s) licensure/certification.
Working Conditions

The Paramedic will work in a fast-paced environment, providing emergency medical services to patients in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
