Job Summary

Confluence Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our echocardiography department, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting comprehensive diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality, professional-level diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations.
  • Determine diagnostic parameters and adjust imaging protocols as needed.
  • Provide real-time assessment of image quality and utilize echo contrast/ultrasound enhancing agents as necessary.
  • Assist physicians with Transesophageal Echo (TEE) procedures and perform echocardiographic studies in the Cath Lab.
  • Provide Treadmill Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo imaging, and other specialized imaging techniques.
  • Enter patient history, exam measurements, and other relevant data to complete an accurate preliminary assessment of cardiac structures and function.
  • Recognize and alert the attending reading cardiologist of critical findings requiring immediate attention.
  • Provide excellent patient care consistent with professional practice standards.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from CCI.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Valid state driver's license and reliable vehicle transportation.
