Job Summary

The STARBASE Director will oversee the Blackstone STARBASE Program, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective operation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or Education field and experience in educational supervision and management. Key responsibilities include directing the program, managing staff, and maintaining standards consistent with program objectives. The Director will also serve as a liaison with state and national departments, conduct conferences and briefings, and keep the DMA Chief Operations Officer informed of current trends and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages the Blackstone STARBASE Program

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or Education field
  • Experience in educational supervision and management
  • Knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Education lesson planning and assessment
  • Ability to recognize and evaluate effective teaching practices and classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in elementary education or program management
