Embedded Algorithm Development Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Manager for Consumer Electronics Embedded Software Platform and Embedded Algorithm Development to lead the creation and optimization of next-generation embedded software platforms and AI/Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security for TP-Link's smart home products, including IP cameras, doorbells, and IoT devices.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery. You will also manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering innovation and ensuring successful project outcomes. By staying up-to-date with industry trends, you will contribute to the growth and success of TP-Link's smart home product line.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversee the development of next-generation embedded software platforms, setting clear goals and timelines, and ensuring the team adheres to best practices in software development.
- Direct the development and integration of cutting-edge ML/AI algorithms, driving innovations that enhance functionality and user experience.
- Architect, maintain, and continuously improve current software platforms, focusing on performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
- Drive innovation by staying abreast of the latest technological trends and incorporating new ideas and technologies into the software platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
- 3+ years of embedded engineering team management experience.
- Proficiency in embedded software programming using C/C++, with a strong understanding of coding best practices.
- Strong technical background in embedded Linux and RTOS, with a deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Proven experience in leading AI/ML algorithm development, including the integration of AI/ML models into embedded systems or smart devices.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
The estimated salary for this position is $150,000-$210,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
