About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer, ISO Policy to join our team at Eversource. This is a hybrid role with a mix of office and remote work, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in transmission engineering and policy analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze transmission engineering and analyses of the clean energy transition in New England
  • Prepare and submit data, reports, presentations, and compliance filings regarding Eversource transmission projects to ISO New England
  • Serve as a transmission engineering subject matter expert in state, regional, and federal forums
  • Model the electricity sector and use of the transmission grid
  • Monitor Eversource transmission projects and resource interconnections
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline data collection and reporting
  • Review key filings (such as Transmission Cost Allocation applications)
  • Implement strategies to gain stakeholder support at NEPOOL Committees
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience
  • Ability to interpret and analyze key regional transmission planning studies
  • Experience testifying in state or federal regulatory proceedings helpful, but not required

Working Conditions

This role requires occasional travel between MA/CT/NH and occasional travel outside of the service area. The ideal candidate will be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
