Responsibilities of Class A CDL Truck Operators:

  • Operate refrigerated trailers
  • Drive automatic transmission vehicles
  • Ensure safe parking for tractor and trailer during home time
  • Handle no-touch freight
  • Primarily run routes east of I-35
  • Be out for 2-3 weeks with home time of 2-3 days
  • Earn $.52 per mile plus an additional $.08 per mile weekly bonus, totaling $.60 per mile
  • Average weekly earnings between $1500 and $1800
  • Maintain an average of miles driven weekly
  • Access to 24-hour dispatch support
  • Drive Freightliner and KW T680 trucks

Requirements for Class A CDL Truck Operators:

  • Minimum of 12 months of verifiable recent OTR tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No more than 3 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
  • No DOT recordable preventable accidents in the last 2 years
  • No more than 4 jobs in the past 12 months
  • No reckless driving, careless driving, or improper lane change tickets in the past 3 years
  • No safety terminations from the last employer; all others will be reviewed
  • No felonies in the past 7 years; no misdemeanors in the past 5 years
  • DUI must be outside of 5 years
  • Urine drug screening is required
  • No failed drug tests in the past 7 years
