Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician

At Bottom Line Equipment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with heavy equipment and specialized attachments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Perform routine maintenance on shop tools and equipment
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Load and unload trucks, picking up or delivering supplies
  • Assemble equipment, operating automated machinery and power tools as needed
  • Inspect parts and equipment to identify defective material or questionable component conditions
  • Ensure the cosmetic appearance of repaired equipment meets company standards
  • Return unused parts and materials to inventory, following company guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases for repairs
  • Perform diagnostic inspections and annual certifications as directed
  • Assist the Shop Foreman with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low or production demands are high
  • May be required to weld, cut, paint, and/or grind raw building materials
  • Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years of experience with aerial work platforms, earthmoving, and mobile crane construction equipment
  • Possess a clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
  • Able to read schematics (hydraulic and electrical)
  • Perform annual certifications and inspections
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer literate with the ability to process information
  • Strong work ethics and a commitment to quality
  • A history of safe work habits
  • Maintains a positive attitude toward work
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must have own hand tools, including a full 1/2 inch drive set and some 3/4 inch tools
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
