Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist Per Diem, you will be responsible for evaluating patients' speech and language abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' speech and language abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement treatment plans using various modalities, including speech therapy, swallowing therapy, and cognitive therapy
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Current CPR certification
  • Previous experience with dysphagia and videofluoroscopy swallow studies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to perform multiple tasks and adapt to changing work situations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with physical and cognitive disabilities
  • Minimum of two years' experience in inpatient rehabilitation

As a Speech Language Pathologist Per Diem at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds, and contribute to their rehabilitation and recovery.

This position requires a high level of physical and mental stamina, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
