Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager at Frontier Justice plays a crucial role in the operations of both firearms and general retail. This position assists the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the store, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
Key responsibilities include managing the retail floor, supervising sales staff, and maintaining inventory levels. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for coordinating special events and classes, as well as ensuring the facility and spaces are clean and safe.
Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for this role, as the Assistant Manager will work collaboratively with the GM and staff to achieve business goals. A firm grasp of technology is also required to execute accurate job functions related to operational, management, and Point of Sales systems.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Manage the retail floor by efficient coordination of staff to ensure client service standards are met.
- Identify current and future client requirements through established rapport while maintaining strong product knowledge and market trends.
- Keep merchandise orderly, in stock, and secure.
- Maintain staff by coaching employees.
- Execute a sales pace that is commensurate with company goals.
Operational Excellence:
- Regularly review inventory and minimize loss.
- Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with all legal and health requirements.
- Ensure the facility and spaces are clean and safe.
- Facilitate special events and classes as directed, with enthusiasm, knowledge, and keen customer service.
Relationships:
- Establish and ensure collaborative, supporting relationships within the entire organization.
- Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with key resources, including external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Essential Functions/Key Competencies:
- Monitor the budget in relation to staffing and inventory.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervision and coaching of sales staff to maximize profits.
- Firm grasp of technology to execute accurate job function as it relates to operational, management, and Point of Sales systems.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods on the sales floor.
Requirements:
- MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD OR OLDER.
- Normal overtime/extended work hours.
- Must be able to physically audit and inspect all operations.
This role requires a high school diploma, with college hours preferred. Preferably 3-5 years of retail management experience. The salary range is $17-$20 per hour.
