Job Title: Nodejs Developer

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a highly skilled Nodejs Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying a new enterprise-wide electronic workspace serving Veteran healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop server-side applications using Nodejs and TypeScript
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend components
  • Integrate with external APIs, including Single Sign-On and OAuth services, and retrieve clinical data from the VA electronic health record (EHR)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design documents and architecture diagrams
  • Develop and maintain a relational database system, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
  • Work with a team to design, implement, and maintain a high-performance user interface
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including the development of APIs and web application backends
  • 4+ years of experience in JavaScript development, including TypeScript, with a strong focus on API development in Nodejs
  • 4+ years of experience with developing applications that read and write to relational database systems
  • Experience with collaborating with internal teams to produce software design documents and architecture diagrams
  • Experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design principles
  • Knowledge of modern and legacy API communication protocols
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and VS Code
  • 2+ years of experience with ReactJS or another reactive JS framework
  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases
  • Experience with integrating SSO authentication services that use OAuth 2.0
  • Experience of the AdonisJS web framework and Prisma ORM
  • Experience of Vite frontend build tool
  • Ability to present to senior-level clients and project team leadership
  • Ability to show excellent interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD).
