Echocardiography Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technician to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing and processing echocardiographic examinations, maintaining the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory, and assisting with special procedures.

• Perform and process echocardiographic examinations, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures.
• Assist with emergency procedures, transport equipment and patients as needed.
• Develop and maintain internal training programs and technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
• Participate in approved research activities and perform mobile Echo service as directed.
• Interpret and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in cardiac ultrasound or a related field.
• Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound.
• Basic Life Support Certification and Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
