At Holland America-Princess Alaska-Yukon Land Operations, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the facilities are clean and in good operating condition. This includes routine general maintenance and repair of the buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as performing maintenance inspections, checks, and daily rounds.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, checks, and repairs.
  • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspections and repairs.
  • Observe operation of facility equipment and update logs in software applications.
  • Communicate verbally via handheld radios and in person for repair calls, troubleshooting, and follow-up with employees and guests.
  • Interact with employees and guests, including answering questions and providing information about the local area, hotel information, and general service interactions.
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
  • Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
  • Participate in HAP's sustainability program, aka Sustain Alaska & the Yukon, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
  • Participate in HAP's safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.
