Laboratory Supervisor Embryology

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the embryology and andrology labs, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our testing and procedures.

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the embryology and andrology labs, including quality control and quality assurance.
• Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure the accurate and timely processing of specimens and testing.
• Develop and maintain laboratory databases and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Participate in proficiency testing and quality control programs to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality in our testing and procedures.
• Develop and implement training programs for laboratory staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments, including nursing and administration, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical or Biological Science.
• NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of being employed.
• General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms.
• Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens.
