We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating the Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner to acquire high-quality images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies.
Key Responsibilities- Review MRI orders for exam and indications
- Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast agents
- Maintain ACLS certification and perform daily quality assurance on MRI scanners
- Operate control console for each patient's scan, selecting proper imaging protocols to image the designated body part/s
- Transfer patient images to PACs and archive image data to optical disc or DVD
- Exercise sound independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative under pressure and in a variety of situations
- Graduate of an approved school of Medical Imaging
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
- Registered or eligible for certification in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent
- At least one year of experience as a Radiologic technologist, preferably in a specialty such as CT scan or angiography
Exposure to magnetic fields and radio frequencies, human waste, and other unpleasant elements. Periodic exposure to noise and cold equipment. Subject to frequent stressful situations.
