This is an exceptional opportunity to join Amazon's world-class Non-Relational and Emerging Database focused technical team in Denver, CO.

You will be working with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies anywhere.

A successful manager joining the team will do much more than run sprints and send emails.

You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services.

About the Team

We work normal business hours Monday through Friday at the downtown Denver office.

We spend most of our time building and operating AWS database services for external customers.

We focus on operational excellence and are always looking for new ways to be a better team.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
  • 5+ years experience leading an engineering or operations team
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

  • Success delivering products/services in a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and perceptions
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You have a track record of delivering technical projects in a highly technical multi-team environment
  • Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills
  • Experience with System Design and Integration
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
  • Working knowledge of agile methods
