Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for a specific group of patients, collaborating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in performing nursing procedures and identify the rationale underlying the nursing skills.
  • Identify patient care problems, make interventions based on an understanding of the biopsychosocial processes.
  • Assess patient status systematically and anticipate and respond to changes in patient clinical condition.
  • Communicate clearly in all aspects of documentation.
  • Practice universal precautions appropriately.
  • May be required to perform point-of-care testing and may serve as a point-of-care trainer.
Requirements
  • Colorado RN license in good standing.
  • BLS required by the end of the conditional period.
  • ACLS encouraged for Clinical Team Leads.
  • ONC certification preferred.
  • NIHSS certification required by 12/31/17 and within 6 months of hire.
