Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Dairy Department Lead to join our team. As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting management in maintaining a well-organized and stocked department, and leading by example to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, stocking product, and offering creative uses for items in the department.
  • Assist management in maintaining a fast-paced department, ensuring products and supplies are ordered, inventory levels are acceptable, and cases are well-organized.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a service-oriented attitude and assisting in the development of the team and department.
  • Ensure products are fresh, rotated, and well-stocked, and maintain a clean, enticing, and safe department environment.
  • Support and follow all safety and security policies, as well as our sustainability programs.
  • Operate within the Company's Core Values and Company Brand.

Requirements

  • Prior grocery experience, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
  • A patient, level-headed, and positive attitude, with a thirst for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Enthusiasm for food, a love of being part of a busy team, and a desire to exceed sales goals.
  • Motivation to take on new challenges, enjoy solving problems, and lead by example.
  • Self-discipline to carry out and assign department tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with a willingness to be the go-to person for questions and concerns.
  • Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift and carry 50lbs, and stand for long periods of time.
