About the Role

The Individualized Home Support / IHS / ILS / DSP / caregiver is a vital member of our team at AbleLight, providing direct support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as dining, mobility, health, and hygiene
  • Accompany individuals on errands and outings, promoting socialization and community engagement
  • Attend special events and activities, fostering a sense of belonging and connection
  • Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires, empowering them to live fulfilling lives
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Mental health experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
