We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at Shrimp Basket Holdings. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain complete knowledge of Shrimp Basket Holdings' food and beverage preparation, menu, and specials.
- Take orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items, and prepare orders accordingly.
- Use a computer to ring orders into a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Refill drinks as requested by customers and ensure a clean and well-stocked bar area.
- Accept different types of payment and make change as needed.
- Interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages and refuse to serve beverages to guests who are not of legal age.
- Observe guests' behavior and assist if overindulgence has occurred.
- Treat customers with respect and strive to exceed their expectations.
- Help customers be aware of and choose menu items, suggestively sell food and beverage items, and take orders and make customers feel taken care of during their visit.
- Keep the bar stocked and clean, and provide friendly and attentive service.
- Maintain a clean workstation and report to work in a neat and clean uniform.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance training.
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience working in a restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
This job operates behind the bar and may be working in close proximity to co-workers. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping and tripping. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical Demands- Walk and stand during entire shift.
- Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe.
- Remain stationary for long periods of time.
- Frequently wash hands.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to cut, measure, pour, serve, carry, and wipe.
- Be able to hear and talk.
- Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.
