Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals/patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, and note times and amounts on individuals' charts
  • Provide medical treatments, administer medication and injections
  • Supervise and/or direct the work of support staff
  • Measure and record individuals' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
  • Observe individuals, charting and reporting changes in individuals' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and take any necessary action
  • Provide basic care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages, or performing catheterizations
  • Record food and fluid intake and output

Requirements:

  • Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Six months of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed by the State of Georgia and/or Nurse Licensure Compact Multi-State License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Georgia
  • Experience working in an adult mental health care facility a plus but not required
