  • **Cleaning and Disinfection**: Maintain a clean and sterile environment by properly cleaning and disinfecting equipment and instruments.
  • **Preparation and Sterilization**: Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are ready for use in surgical procedures.
  • **Record Keeping**: Accurately maintain records of sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • **Sterilization Maintenance**: Ensure that sterilized items are handled and stored properly to maintain their sterility.
  • **Teamwork**: Collaborate with other team members to achieve desired outcomes and promote a positive work environment.
  • **Quality and Cost-Effectiveness**: Support quality and cost-effective care by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.

Requirements
  • **Education**: High school education or equivalent required. Sterile Processing Certification preferred.
  • **Experience**: Some knowledge of instrumentation or surgical experience helpful.
  • **Physical Demands**: This position is classified as Light Work, requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
