Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 Psychiatric to join our team at the New York State Office of Mental Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical consultation and training on all aspects of psychiatric nursing, and plan, supervise, and provide nursing care to individuals with mental illness in facilities and programs operated by the Office of Mental Health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical consultation and training on all aspects of psychiatric nursing
- Plan, supervise, and provide nursing care to individuals with mental illness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State
- Two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder
Substitutions:
- A bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience
- A master's degree in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience required for Registered Nurse 2 (Psychiatric)

Salary:
The posted hiring rate includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18, an Increase Hiring Rate, Geographic Pay Differential, and the posted job rate is the sum of the statutory job rate and Geographic Pay Differential. Additional Compensation May Apply Based On Shift Assignment.
