Job Title: Water Treatment Process Engineer

RK&K's Water/Wastewater Group is seeking a skilled Water Treatment Process Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Water Treatment Process Engineer to work on a variety of wastewater projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in process design, hydraulic calculations, and mass balance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare design calculations, process flow diagrams, and cost estimates for wastewater projects
  • Conduct technical evaluations of various unit processes and equipment to support planning and design related to wastewater systems
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda, engineering reports, presentations, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents
  • Work directly with the owner, designer, project managers, and contractors to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget
  • Participate in internal and client meetings, workshops, and incorporate client feedback into design documents
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients, project teams, including other engineering disciplines, designers, and subconsultants
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Zero to four years of demonstrated experience in performing process analyses and working with a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop construction plans and specifications for unit processes in liquid and solids treatment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hydraulic, mass balance, tank sizing, and other wastewater calculations
  • Self-motivated and able to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities
  • Strong interest in wastewater treatment process design and passion for quality work and client service
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT or Professional Engineer registration
  • Experience working with municipalities in the Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania regions
