Job Overview

Johnson Service Group is seeking a highly skilled Production Assembly Lead to oversee the assembly production line. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production teams to maintain schedules and coordinate workflow.
  • Work with production control to establish and adjust schedules as needed to meet customer delivery timelines.
  • Balance workloads across work centers in the manufacturing plant, adjusting as necessary for customer commitments and production needs.
  • Analyze information to make informed decisions, solve problems, and implement solutions.
  • Identify training needs and assign tasks to the production team.
  • Ensure delivery commitments are met and executed efficiently.
  • Partner with Industrial Engineers to identify and implement lean manufacturing projects.
  • Lead 5S initiatives to improve work efficiency and organization on the production line.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for manufacturing-related issues.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, ideally in a high-mix environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense solutions.
  • Capable of interpreting various instructions and managing teams.
  • Experience in managing customer commitments and overseeing production.
  • Proficiency in supporting Quality Management Systems (ISO), Lean Manufacturing, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and maintaining quality records.
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel).
