Job Description

As an Assembly Technician at Aerotek, you will be responsible for reading work orders and following production drawings to assemble and install mechanical and electrical components. Your duties will include crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, press fitting, or performing similar operations to join or secure parts in place. You may also install multi-level subassemblies and modules into racks using complex configurations. Additionally, you will assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies. Your tasks will also include performing intermediate assembly tasks, such as wiring servers and mechanical assembly, and performing online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. You will also set up stations with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing and handle/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated locations on products. Furthermore, you will adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics. You will also assist in performing repair work and communicate any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors, and/or engineers. Finally, you will perform preventative maintenance on production lines.

Responsibilities
  • Reads work orders and follows production drawings to assemble and install mechanical and electrical components

This is a fully on-site position in Milpitas, California. The work environment is an electronic manufacturing environment, and ESD straps are required.
