Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our commercial construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site labor forces to ensure timely and profitable completion of projects.
  • Logistics Planning: Develop and maintain site logistics plans in collaboration with project managers to optimize resource allocation and minimize delays.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control labor costs, including time and material expenses, to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Scheduling: Prepare and manage short-term schedules, making adjustments as needed to ensure compliance with project timelines.
  • Reporting: Submit daily reports to project managers, highlighting key site activities and any issues that require attention.
  • Communication: Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings, to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-high school education in a construction-related field is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction industry principles, including equipment, labor, means, and methods.
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in commercial/light industrial construction.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, ability to adapt to new technologies, and strong leadership skills.
  • Qualifications: Ability to read and understand construction documents, including drawings, standards, and specifications.
