About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist Clinician II to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical therapy care to patients, acting as a consultant to various patient populations, and providing instruction to support staff and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy care to patients and record that care in the hospital medical record.
  • Act as a consultant to various patient populations, including pediatrics, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Provide instruction to OT/PT support staff, PT students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members.
  • Rotate through various clinical service areas to ensure a comprehensive understanding of patient needs.

Requirements:

  • Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
  • Preferred: Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.

Additional Requirements:

  • Employee is expected to share in weekend and holiday schedule expectations of the department or have a fluctuation of daily work hours from 8 AM to 7 PM based on patient population needs.
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. and perform frequent bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and repetitive motion.

Salary: Estimated salary for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
