Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee various accounting functions within your facility, which include:

  • Managing cash control, funds disbursement, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Preparing financial reports and analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to forecast future financial performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accurate payroll management, including proper approval of timesheets.
  • Researching and analyzing financial data for budget preparation and management requests.
  • Reporting financial status to management and providing insights on resource utilization and budget forecasts.
  • Handling bank deposits, check writing, and bank statement reconciliations.
  • Managing local purchases and initiating larger requisitions through corporate channels.
  • Verifying calculations for receipts, taxes, discounts, and additional charges.
  • Distributing payroll checks and reports to relevant personnel.
  • Supervising inventory management across various departments.
  • Overseeing clerical staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a finance-related position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software.

Physical Requirements

This position requires significant time spent at a desk, with occasional physical activities such as lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, reaching, and standing.
