We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at BAMSI. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with Department of Public Health's Medication Administration Program (MAP) policies and other funder regulations.
- Complete daily written notes, data tracking, and skilled assessments to ensure accurate documentation of care.
- Follow medical protocols, treatment plans, and medication treatment plans to ensure the health and well-being of individuals served.
- Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) practices to create a supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide physical support, assistance with lifting and transferring individuals served as needed.
- Ensure skilled care is provided in a way that promotes growth, dignity, and independence.
- Possession of a Massachusetts license as a nurse.
- 2 years of experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury or similar disabilities preferred.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to record data, use electronic time and attendance software, and receive and send email.
