Metallurgical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing product and process metallurgy support to all rolled products and extrusions plants globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product and processing recipes to improve product attributes, process capacity, and recovery
- Implement stability tools for new and existing products to reduce system costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead activities supporting product development and process improvements
- Work with Operations, Technology, Engineering, and Commercial teams to drive business growth and improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years experience in continuous improvement of product and process metallurgy
- Experience working in an ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and/or AS9100 certified environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science from an accredited institution
- 10 years' experience working as a product or process metallurgist improving product attributes, system recovery, line capacities, and reducing manufacturing costs
- Knowledge specific to aluminum products and manufacturing processes in an aluminum rolling mill
