Metallurgical Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing product and process metallurgy support to all rolled products and extrusions plants globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement product and processing recipes to improve product attributes, process capacity, and recovery.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to lead activities supporting product development and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations, technology, engineering, and commercial teams to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on metallurgical processes and product development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product and process metallurgy, with a focus on rolled products.
  • Advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Materials Science from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • 10 years of experience working as a product or process metallurgist (preferred).
