Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our primary care team at MaineHealth. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

\u2022 Provide basic quality nursing care to patients, working closely with registered nurses, medical assistants, and providers to collect data, plan, educate, implement, and deliver care safely and effectively.

\u2022 Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

\u2022 Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

\u2022 Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to documentation standards and regulatory requirements.

\u2022 Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and changing healthcare regulations.


Requirements:

\u2022 Diploma from an approved practical nursing program.

\u2022 Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligibility for licensure. Current BLS certification required.

\u2022 Two years' LPN experience preferred.

\u2022 Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.

\u2022 Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions.

\u2022 Understanding of documentation standards.

\u2022 Knowledge of infectious disease management and control safety standards.

\u2022 Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.

\u2022 Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages.

\u2022 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations.

\u2022 Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the electronic medical record.
