Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Designer to join our team. As an integral part of our design and engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful design and implementation of electrical systems for multifamily projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Engineering
    • Lead the electrical design process from conceptualization to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.
    • Develop comprehensive electrical plans, specifications, and drawings tailored to the unique needs of each project, considering factors such as building size, structure, and utility availability.
    • Conduct load calculations and analyze utility requirements to optimize system efficiency and performance.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, architects, and contractors to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within the overall project framework.
    • Proactively identify and address potential challenges or obstacles related to electrical equipment lead times, utility coordination, and documentation submission.
    • Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are achieved on schedule.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Perform thorough reviews and evaluations of electrical designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project objectives.
    • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors, RFIs, and change orders, thereby enhancing project efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Client Engagement
    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, offering expert guidance and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to communicate project status, updates, and recommendations, fostering strong client relationships and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering, with a focus on multifamily or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
