Your OpportunityWe're seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to join our Survey & Mapping team in Tampa, Florida. As a key member of our team, you'll perform public record research and calculations to resolve property boundaries and rights of way. You'll also review survey technician's work, manage project schedules, and assist in crew preparation for field work.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations.
- Perform complex quality control (QA/QC) of drawings/documents.
- Manage field crews, providing job assignments, information, direction, and daily checking of work product.
- Direct and conduct surveys for clients.
- Lead and manage a functional area without subordinate employees.
- Identify hazardous situations and direct safety procedures and company standards.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of project requirements, including budget, design requirements, and complete project submittal.
- Assemble and lead teams.
- Have broad technical knowledge of field survey methods, calculations, field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.
- Have broad technical knowledge of local survey laws, rules, and regulations.
- Be proficient in relevant software programs, including AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and related software.
- Hold a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Be currently licensed PLS/PSM in Florida or able to become licensed within 2 years.
