**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our AWS Ops organization. As a member of our team, you will design, implement, and deploy highly scalable distributed systems and services that meet the needs of our customers.

**About the Role:**

In this role, you will collaborate with talented engineers to create and deploy systems and services that are innovative, efficient, and reliable. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and deploying highly scalable distributed systems and services.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Design and implement highly scalable distributed systems and services
  • Decompose complex problems into simple solutions while understanding system interdependencies and limitations
  • Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods
  • Create clear, maintainable, well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, source control management, build processes, release management, and operations

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

**Compensation:**

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon is a total compensation company, and additional forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
